Special Issue: Monitoring Climate Change Impacts on Agriculture
- Submission status
- Closed
Climate change affects agriculture by altering the average temperatures, rainfall, climate extremes (such as heat waves, prolonged droughts, floods, cloud bursts), greenhouse gases concentrations, and changes in pests and diseases. Such changes negatively affect crop production and are unevenly distributed in the World. The Council for Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR) - National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), India has organised a webinar on "Agriculture and Food Technologies and Mechanisms of adaptation to Climate Change" in collaboration with Department for International Cooperation of the Russian Academy of Sciences during 11-12 November, 2020. Selected 15 deliberations will be published in a special issue ‘Monitoring climate change impacts on Agriculture’.
