Abstract

In this chapter various human chromosome techniques are reviewed. For the detailed descriptions the reader is referred to Darlington and La Cour (1975), to Human Chromosome Methodology (Yunis, 1965, 1974), to Dutrillaux and Lejeune (1975), to Yunis (1981b), and to Verma and Babu (1989). The book by Verma and Babu (1989) surveys the enormous increase in the number and variety of cytogenetic techniques in recent years, of which only the most important can be discussed here.
