About the authors

Dr. Kui Chen, a professor-level senior engineer and national first-class construction engineer, is the expert of China Railway Group Limited, and the professor of Shenzhen University. He enjoys special government allowances granted by the State Council. He is also the Honorary Director and the Chief Scientist of the "Belt and Road" Science, Technology and Culture Fund under Taofen Foundation. He won the first and second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the China Patent Excellence Award, the Silver Award in Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies ARCHIMEDES, the Special Prize of Hubei Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award, and May 1st Labour Medal of Henan Province. He has published 33 monographs and 205 papers. He also serves as the expert of National Science and Technology Award ExpertDatabase, expert of the National Torch Program Expert Database, member of academic committees for the State Key Laboratory of Aviation Precision Bearings and the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing of High-end Construction Machinery, the evaluation expert for science and technology progress awards of Henan, Hebei, Hunan, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Anhui, and the evaluation expert for natural science foundations of Zhejiang and Jiangxi.  Shengjun Jiao, a Level-2 professor, registered consulting (investment) engineer, recipient of Provincial Outstanding Teacher Award of Shaanxi Province and National Outstanding Teacher Award of Rail Transit Industry, a member of National Mapping Geographic Information Professional Education Steering Committee, the Chairman of Engineering Committee of China Railway Society, and currently Secretary of CPC Committee of Shaanxi Railway Institute.

He has successively won 3 second prizes of the National Teaching Achievement Award (including 1 project in which he served as the leader), and 2 special prizes of the Teaching Achievement Award of Shaanxi Provincial People's Government (including 1 project in which he served as the leader). He is the main person in charge of the National Double High-levels Plan, the leader of the construction of the national professional resource database of "Underground and Tunnel Engineering Technology", and the person in charge of the formulation of teaching standards for railway engineering majors in national higher vocational colleges. He edited Construction and Maintenance of High-speed Railway Bridges, the first textbook on this course in China, which won the first prize of Excellent Textbooks for Universities in Shaanxi Province. Jiangka Wang, with a Master's degree, is a professor-level senior engineer, national first-class construction engineer, and the chief expert of China Association of Construction Enterprise Management. He enjoys special government allowances granted by the State Council. He is also the Honorary Director and the Chief Scientist of the "Belt and Road" Science, Technology and Culture Fund under Taofen Foundation. He currently serves as the General Manager of China Railway (Guangzhou) Investment & Development Co., Ltd. He is a tech entrepreneur of Jiangsu Province, the Vice Chairman of Rail Transit Finance and Economic Forum of Jiangsu Province, the member of Expert Committee for Urban Rail Transit Engineering Quality and Safety of Jiangsu Province, and the Vice Chairman of Shield Remanufacturing Innovation Strategic Alliance under Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. He was awarded the Top 100 Science & Technology Stars in Wuxi, Outstanding Entrepreneur in Wuxi, Model Worker in Wuxi, and CREC Top Ten Prominent Youths. He won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the National Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Award, the China Standard Innovation Contribution Award, the Provincial-level Science and Technology Innovation Award, and the CREC Science and Technology Innovation Award.
