About this book
This book provides a comprehensive presentation of the most frequently used high resolution manufacturing techniques available, as well as the polymeric materials used for each of the techniques.
Divided into two parts covering the technologies and materials used and the impact on different research fields and case studies, High Resolution Manufacturing from 2D to 3D/4D Printing: Applications in Engineering and Medicine addresses issues like throughput improvement by volumetric 3D printing and presenting novel applications and case studies. In addition, this book also covers the latest breakthrough developments and innovations to help readers understand the future applications of this technology across various disciplines, including biomedicine, electronics, energy, and photonics.

About the editors
Dr. Simone Luigi Marasso has an established experience in the field of micro and nanotechnology. He is an expert in the design and fabrication and testing of MEMS, Lab on Chip and microfluidic devices and the development of innovative technology processes. In the past 6 years he focused his research activities on the processing and exploitation of nanomaterials, nanostructures and 2D materials and their application in sensors and biosensors as well as the application of new technology for rapid prototyping. In this field he exploited photocurable resin composite for device fabrication using stereolithography as demonstrated by relevant publication in the field.
Prof. Matteo Cocuzza got his MD in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Devices in 2003. Currently Professor at the Dept. of Applied Science and Technology of Politecnico di Torino and associated researcher of IMEM-CNR. In 1998, he wasone of the founders of the Chilab-Materials and Microsystems Laboratory. He is currently lecturer of master's degree courses related to MEMS, micro- and nano-technologies, also in the framework of the International Master Degree in Nanotechnologies for ICT (joined master between Politecnico di Torino, INPG Grenoble and EPFL Lausanne). His research activity is focused on MEMS and microsensors for industrial applications, on the development of microfluidics and lab-on-a-chip for biomedical applications and on the development and application of polymeric 3-D printing technologies.Bibliographic Information
