Joseph Bertino attended the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA where he received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy. He then attended Duquesne University where he received both his Master’s in philosophy and Doctorate in health care ethics. Joe has worked as a clinical ethics consultant for Wellstar Health System in Atlanta, GA and professor of ethics and philosophy for Georgia State University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Joe currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA and holds the position of director of clinical ethics for UPMC Presbyterian, Shadyside, and Western Psychiatric campuses. In his short career, Joe has performed hundreds of ethics consultations for some of the country’s largest health care systems.
