Abstract

The sensitivity of overcurrent protection of 6- to 10-kV lines is considered. Special cases of insufficient sensitivity of line overcurrent protection to single-phase faults behind the transformers connected to the line are displayed. Appropriate measuring circuitry is offered as a method of improving protection sensitivity.
