Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Theβ-chloroethyl ester ofα-hydrohexafluoro-2-propanesulfonie acid was obtained by the sulfotrioxidation of 1,1-bis-(β-chloroethoxy)hexafluoroisobutylene.

  2. 2.

    Theβ-haloethyl esters ofα-sulfonated polyfluorocarboxylic acids tend to decompose with the liberation of vinyl halide and CO2.
