Zusammenfassung
Hüftendoprothesen müssen so gestaltet sein, dass sie sich auf sichere Art implantieren lassen und als lasttragende Bauteile ihre Funktion langfristig wahrnehmen können. Sie müssen auf die jeweilige Indikation abgestimmt, in die Operationstechnik eingebunden, planbar und einfach instrumentierbar sein. Das Ziel ist die gewünschte Rekonstruktion des Gelenkes mit einer guten Funktionalität und Schmerzfreiheit für den Patienten. Hierbei spielen die einzelnen Komponenten und deren Zusammenspiel eine wichtige Rolle. Die Gleitpaarungen und deren Materialien sind für die Gelenkartikulation entscheidend. Zudem ist eine stabile Verankerung von Schaft und Pfanne für den Langzeiterfolg des Gelenkersatzes wichtig.
