Zusammenfassung
Physikalische Medizin und allgemeine Rehabilitation ist Teil der an Universitäten gelehrten State-of-the-art- bzw. konventionellen Medizin. Therapien (aktive und passive Maßnahmen), dargestellt am Beispiel der onkologischen Rehabilitation, sind individuell aus dem Gesamtkonzept zu „rezeptieren“. Das Grundkonzept der Osteopathie beruht auf den komplexen Zusammenhängen zwischen der Dysfunktion verschiedener Gewebe des Körpers und deren Auswirkung auf den Bewegungsapparat. Die manuelle Diagnostik ist eine unverzichtbare Methode bei der Diagnostik, Therapie und Rehabilitation der Störungen des Bewegungsapparats, die manuelle Therapie eine ökonomische und effiziente Form der Muskel- und Gelenkbehandlung; wichtigste Indikation bei den Gelenkfunktionen ist die Beweglichkeitseinschränkung. Das Wissen über die biologisch-physiologischen Wirkungen von regelmäßiger körperlicher Aktivität hat nicht nur dazu geführt, dass Bewegung und Sport als präventive Mittel, sondern auch in Form von Trainingstherapien im gesamten Therapiekonzept der Rehabilitation als unersetzliches Instrumentarium eingesetzt werden.
