Zusammenfassung

Zu den nutritiven Neuropathien gehören einerseits die Vitaminmangelneuropathien, einschließlich der alkoholischen Neuropathie. Abzugrenzen sind davon toxische Neuropathien, die einerseits durch Gewerbe- und Umweltgifte bedingt sind, vielfach aber auf medikamentöse Nebenwirkungen zurückzuführen sind. Wegen der großen Zahl neurotoxischer Substanzen werden nur die morphologischen Auswirkungen einiger ausgewählter Neurotoxine dargestellt, die Modellcharakter haben und zur Erweiterung unserer Kenntnisse von der Pathogenese peripherer Neuropathien geführt haben. Im einzelnen sind es: Chlorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe wie z. B. Trichlorethylen; Metalle wie Arsen, Blei, Quecksilber, Thallium, Cadmium, Platin und Gold; Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Acrylamid, Hexacarbone und Schwefelkohlenstoff; Kohlenmonoxid, Ethylenoxid, Diaminoproprionitril, Iminodiproprionitril; organische Phosphorverbindungen; Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Dichlorbenzol und Pentachlorphenol, Hexachlorophen, polychlorierte Biphenyle, DDT, Dichlorphenoxyessigsäure; Medikamente wie Chloroquin, Isonikotinsäurehydrazid (INH), Amiodaron; Taxol; Thalidomid, Tryptophan; hohmolekulare Substanzen wie Polyvinylpyrrolidon und Dextrane; Heroin. Abschließend wird das mutiple Chemikalien-Sensitivitäts (MCS)-Syndrom diskutiert.
