Trends of Photochemical Oxidants Observed During the Intercomparison Field Exercise on Nitric Acid and Nitrate Measurements Held in Montelibretti

  • Chapter
Physico-Chemical Behaviour of Atmospheric Pollutants

Summary

Data of Ozone, PAN, PPN, N02, H202 and HCHO, collected during the field intercomparison exercise on nitric acid and nitrate measurement held at the Area della Ricerca di Roma (Montelibretti) from the 18th to the 24th of September 1 988, are presented. Measurements carried out with different techniques are compared and differences critically discussed. Trends are consistent with the reactivity of the various species and the meteorological situation occurring over the site. A good correlation between PAN, PPN and HNO3 is found.
