Zusammenfassung

Unter bestimmten Bedingungen können Karzinome des unteren und mittleren Rektumdrittels lokalchirurgisch behandelt werden. Dabei wird eine „Full-disc-Exzision“ des tumortragenden Rektumwandanteils gefordert. Mehrere Methoden haben sich etabliert. Die Mehrzahl der Chirurgen bevorzugt heute den transanalen Zugang zum Rektum, direkt [1–3] oder endoskopisch [4]. Nur wenige bedienen sich der posterioren Zugänge, transsphinkter [5, 6] oder transsakral [7, 8].
