Damage of protective functions of neutrophils in early stages of burn disease

Abstract

Published data on the effect of burn injuries on the functions of blood neutrophils, such as chemotaxis, phagocytosis, respiratory burst, and secretion, as well as on the mechanisms of neutrophil activation and immunosuppression in the early stages of burn disease are summarized.
