Due to a technical error a quote from Thompson and Silverman (2008) on p. 2 of the article was rendered incorrectly. The correct quote is:
With respect to undergraduates, they “believe that understanding accumulation so that \(\int_{a}^{b} {f(x)dx}\) is simply \(\int_{a}^{x} {f(t)dt}\) evaluated at x = b where \(\int_{a}^{x} {f(t)dt}\) itself has a well-developed meaning, can be part of a coherent calculus that focuses on having students see connections among rate of change of quantities and accumulation of quantities …” (p. 51).
