Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Abstract

It is shown that nano- (D g < 100 nm) and submicrocrystalline (100 nm < D g < 1 µm) structures can be obtained in low-carbon and corrosion-resistant austenitic and ferritic steels and aluminum and magnesium alloys by severe plastic torsional deformation under hydrostatic pressure and by equal channel angular pressing.
