Abstract

Adding nonlinear rods to photonic crystal ring resonators is a common way used for designing all-optical logic gates. In this paper, we will use the same method for designing an all-optical Galois field adder. The proposed structure can be realized by parallel combination of four optical XOR gates; therefore, for realizing the proposed structure, we designed the basic XOR gate then created the final structure by combining four XOR gates.
