Summary

A method is proposed for searching for recessive lethals in mice. A multiple recessive stock is irradiated, and members of it are crossed to a multiple dominant stock. Lethal genes are detected by deficiencies of recessives inF 2. The length of chromosome searched is evaluated. It should be possible to search about 6 % of the genetical map in eachF 2.
