Abstract

Biological materials are characterized as active soft materials. These materials can behave as actuators or processors based on biological mechanisms. In addition, biodegradable materials are required in the future as they are less invasive to the environment. Based on the above discussion, this chapter introduces soft materials affected by biological processes, biological cells, and biodegradable soft materials.
