Brüche lassen sich zusammenfassen, wenn sie gleichnamig sind. Deshaib wollen wir die Brüche durch Erweitern gleichnamig machen: \( \frac{1} {\begin{gathered} \frac{{1 \cdot 7}} {{3 \cdot 7}} - \frac{{1 \cdot 3}} {{7 \cdot 3}} \hfill \\ \hfill \\ \end{gathered} } - \frac{{1 \cdot 7}} {{3 \cdot 7}} - \frac{{1 \cdot 3}} {{7 \cdot 3}} = \frac{1} {{\frac{{7 - 3}} {{21}}}} - \frac{{(7 + 3)}} {{21}} = \frac{1} {{\frac{4} {{21}}}} - \frac{{10}} {{21}} \)
Ein Bruch wird dividiert, indem man mit dem Kehrwert multipliziert. Dadurch werden Doppelbrüche beseitigt.
