Zusammenfassung

Man kann davon ausgehen, daß der koronaren Herzerkrankung mit ihren verschiedenen klinischen Manifestationen wie Angina pectoris, Herzinfarkt und plötzlicher Herztod in der Regel eine fortschreitende Koronargefäßsklerose zugrunde liegt. Die Prognose der koronaren Herzerkrankung (Kap. 27) hängt entscheidend von der Progression der Koronargefäßsklerose ab. Daneben bestimmen selbstverständlich auch andere Faktoren die Prognose bei koronarer Herzerkrankung. Der einmal erfolgte koronarsklerosebedingte Myokardschaden, in der Regel in Form eines oder mehrerer Infarkte, kann eine eigene prognostische Relevanz bekommen (s. Kap. 27, Abschn. H., S. 900ff.), zu einem großen Teil, weil er vorrangig die prognosebestimmende Bedeutung bestimmter Rhythmusstörungen festlegt.
