Abstract
Repeat coronary arteriography was performed approximately 1, 6, and 11 years after coronary artery bypass graft surgery at our institution in a group of unselected patients. The long-term attrition rate of saphenous vein bypass grafts and the influence of graft and native coronary artery changes on the late clinical course of these patients have been previously reported (Campeau et al. 1978, 1979, 1982; Enjalbert et al. 1982), or will be the subject of further analysis. The purpose of this report is to study the rate and extent of angiographic progression of coronary disease in the grafted and ungrafted arteries of these patients and to correlate progression of coronary disease with age, sex, risk factors, severity of preexisting disease, and left ventricular function.
