About this book

This open access book provides an extensive overview of the usage of information and communication technologies in the tourism and hospitality industry. It presents the proceedings of the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT)’s 30th Annual International eTourism Conference, which assembles the latest research presented at the ENTER2023 conference. About the editors

Berta Ferrer-Rosell is Associate Professor (Serra Hunter Fellow) at University of Lleida (Catalonia, Spain). She is Coordinator of the Joint Degree in Business Administration and Tourism and Director of Research Excellence and Education at the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT). Her research interests focus on the analysis of tourism sector (destinations, companies and tourists) through ICT and Compositional Analysis. She is co-editor in chief of Journal of Tourism Analysis – Revista de Análisis Turístico and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Information Technology & Tourism (JITT), the European Journal of Tourism Research (EJTR) and Consumer Behavior in Tourism and Hospitality (CBTH).

 

David Massimo is Assistant Professor (RTD) of Computer Science at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy). His research interests lie in designing, developing, and evaluating Recommender and Decision-Support Systems, with particular attention to tourism applications. The outcomes of Massimo's research are published in recognized journals and conference proceedings. The recommendation technology he developed has been industrialized. The International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) awarded Prof. Massimo with two best paper awards for his research contribution to eTourism.

 

Katerina Berezina is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the University of Mississippi (University, MS, USA). Her research interests are in the areas of information technology in hospitality and tourism, electronic distribution, and revenue management. She serves as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology.
