Abstract
We examined the effect of the substitution of Fe atoms for Co atoms iron on the thermal and the magnetic properties for (Co1−x Fe x )72B19.2Si4.8Cr4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) system. We made ribbons with diameters of 2 mm by using melt spinning technique. The broad X-ray diffraction pattern without any crystalline peaks indicates the fully amorphous structure for all alloys. As the Fe content was increased, the saturation magnetization (M s ) increased up to x = 0.9, which indicates that an iron/cobalt ratio of 9:1 resulted in the maximum saturation magnetization in the (Co1−x Fe x )72B19.2Si4.8Cr4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) alloy system.
