Development of nanocoatings for cutting tools

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The principles for developing nanocoatings used on cutting tools are outlined. The atomic interactions of various systems used as targets in coating deposition are simulated, and the strength of their bonds with the hard-alloy base is estimated.
