Abstract
An investigation is performed of the propagation of electromagnetic waves in a nonlinear optically anisotropic medium with carbon nanotubes containing impurities. A four-level model is chosen for describing the impurities. An effective equation for the vector potential of the electromagnetic field of a pulse is obtained with allowance for the second component of polarization. The dependence of the components of the pulse field on the parameters of the problem is determined.
