Abstract
A new production technology for centrifugally cast 04Х14ТЗР1Ф boron-steel has been developed. In addition, technology has been developed for the production of hot-rolled 290 × 12 mm pipe from such blanks on a TPU 8-16″ system with Pilger mills and for the conversion of such pipe to hexahedral pipe blanks (dimensions 257 +2/–3 × 6 +2/–1 × 4300 +80/–30 mm). The hexahedral pipe blanks produced by this means meet the requirements on the geometric dimensions, mechanical properties, and intercrystallite corrosion in Technical Specifications TU 14-3-1630–89 for the manufacture of racks used in holding tanks at nuclear power plants and in spent-fuel transportation.
