Abstract

Piercing mandrels for the skew rolling mill at OAO Severskii Trubnyi Zavod are compared. The influence of the shape and length of the mandrel’s working section and its position in the deformation zone on the piercing of the blank is investigated in terms of the cyclic-shaping parameters.
