Steel in Translation Aims and scope

Abstract

In considering the Navier-Stokes equation, the forces on the faces of an elementary cubic volume in a liquid or gas are analyzed. That provides a clear physicomechanical interpretation of individual terms within the equation. As a result, the Navier-Stokes equation may be successfully used in metallurgy and casting.
