Abstract

A number of N-nitroso derivatives of glycolurils were obtained for the first time, using sodium nitrite and 1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid (HEDP) as a green catalyst. The procedure was carried out in an aqueous heterophase medium without the use of aggressive acids.
