Abstract

Organic glasses for the production of aircraft glazing parts have been designed. Results of chemical modification of transparent acrylic polymers for enhancing the resource of organic glasses in planes are described. New polymer-based organic structured glasses VOS-1 and VOS-2 are able to operate under short-term one-side heating up to temperatures of 160–200°C, due to a high polymer thermal resistance.
