Abstract
89Sr was prepared from an yttrium target in a WWR-SM reactor of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Academy of Science of Uzbekistan Republic. 89Sr chloride was isolated from the Y target using TBP-HNO3 and HDEHP-HCl (in the final processing step) extraction systems. The purity of the 89Sr preparation is sufficient for its medical applications. The results of preliminary experiments on isolation of 89Sr chloride from irradiated yttrium targets using different systems are reported.
