Abstract
The latest experiments carried out by the Tokyo group on the double resonant coherent excitation of Ar16+ and Ar17+ ions in thin silicon targets beyond the channeling conditions have been theoretically analyzed using the density matrix method for the joint description of coherent and incoherent (relaxation) interactions of relativistic multicharged ions in crystals. The calculation results are compared in detail with the experimental data.
