Abstract

The rheological properties of dilute and moderately concentrated solutions of methyl cellulose–chitosan blends in aqueous solutions of acetic and succinic acids are studied. Using dynamic mechanical, thermogravimetric, and X-ray diffraction analyses, the structural organization of composite films is investigated, the temperatures of relaxation transitions are determined, and the composition regions in which the polymers are miscible and form mixed structures are estimated.
