Abstract
The design and operation of a reversible zeolite-based HBr source for a copper bromide vapor laser are described. Porous zeolite absorbs or liberates gaseous HBr depending on the temperature, thus allowing efficient control of the HBr-component pressure in the laser active medium. The temperature dependences of the admixture in the initially evacuated working volume and at pressures of the Ne buffer gas of 30 and 60 Torr are presented. The reversible operation of the device in dynamics is shown.
