Abstract
Derivatives of ethoxymethylenemalonic acids by condensation with 3-amino-3-thioxopropanamide in the presence of sodium ethylate furnished chalcogenopyridines and polyfunctionally substituted dienes which were converted into nicotinamide derivatives.
