Generalized Universal Calculation of SiO2 Diffusion Coefficients in Melts of the Na2O – SiO2 System

Abstract

Experimental data are summarized, and a generalized formula for the calculation of SiO2 diffusion coefficients in melts of the Na2O – SiO2 system is obtained. The formula is recommended for the practical calculations of the process of melting impure sodium disilicate.
