Abstract

Different techniques are available for the measurement of 129I or 129I/127 I ratio. Due to the lack of internationalcertified reference material for 129I, intercomparison exerciseson the measurement of 129I are very rare. This study presents twointercomparison exercises between three techniques: direct γ-X spectrometry, radiochemical neutron activation analysis and accelarator mass spectrometry.A reference material was constituted with a Fucus serratus collected on thefrench channel coast. A significative correlation between the results givenby the three techniques was proven on this material and on a set of otherFucus serratus samples presenting different activity levels.
