Abstract
An algorithm for developing numerical m-connected Markov sequences is used as the basis for synthesizing time series with statistical, correlation, and spectral characteristics corresponding to three types of widely used fluctuation processes: shot noise, generation-recombination noise, and 1/fγ noise. The proposed model can give rise to the development of a unified approach to consideration of fluctuation processes with different properties. We consider the 1/fγ-noise simulation in detail and describe an empirical dependence of the coefficient γ for 1/f noise on the model parameters. Numerical results are compared with experimental data to show good agreement between the model and actual noise processes with respect to some characteristics.
