In this article, a final paragraph of the Introduction section was missing, including a reference to a previous study. It should have read as follows (and the existing reference numbers 10–12 should have been numbers 11–13):
“In a previous study, a single-degree-of-freedom system equipped with an active scissor jack has been shown effective in suppressing building vibrations [1]. In this study, the scissor jack configuration coefficients are studied. In addition, the configuration is further elaborated into a general, multi-degree-of-freedom system.”
