Analyzing the discreet section suspension parameters in a conveyor with suspended belt and distributed drive

Abstract

Our goal was to determine the discrete section suspensions rational parameters in a conveyor with suspended belt and distributed drive. The conditions for ensuring the drive suspension link necessary for the movement of the drive roll without slippage along the entire conveyor path were determined based on the mathematic model of the discrete section dynamics. The dependences obtained were used for the numerical analysis of the parameters of the conveyor discrete section parameters. A series of calculations conducted resulted in assessing the influence of mass, dimensions and frictional parameters on the drive suspension tractive and adhesion characteristics and summing up the relevant recommendations.
