Abstract

Fracture toughness, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance are essential for prolonging the life of thermal barrier coatings. In this paper, the thermophysical properties, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of ZrO2-Y2O3-Ta2O5 ceramic composites prepared by the solid-state reaction method were analyzed. According to the findings, (Zr0.544Y0.114Ta0.114Er0.114Ti0.114)O had the best mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, with a fracture toughness of 4.29 MPa·m1/2. The thermal conductivity of (Zr0.544Y0.114Ta0.114Er0.114Ti0.114)O was the lowest, at 0.98 W/mK. (Zr0.544Y0.114Ta0.114A0.114B0.114)O ceramic material has extensive practical value.
