Abstract
In the Festschrift to Prof. K. A. Müller, I am including some relevant aspects that gave rise to new advances in the field of superconductivity, from the liquefier of helium made by H. K. Onnes to the discovery of supraconductivity in ceramic superconductors by Bednorz and Müller.
