Abstract
The effects of Cu addition on the crystallization behavior and microstructure of melt-spun ribbons have been studied. XRD shows that Cu addition promotes the crystallization. DSC shows that Cu addition can change the crystallization behavior of (Nd0.75Pr0.25)9.5(FeNbCo)79.5(BC)11 from a two-step to a single-step process. Three-dimensional atom probe (3DAP) results show the formation of a high-number density of Cu clusters in higher Cu addition, while Cu clusters were not found in the alloy of lower Cu addition.
