Research on the possibility of using glass-plastics based on heterocyclic polymers and silica-glass fabric as heat-shielding materials is reported. The thermal, mechanical, thermophysical, radio-engineering, and ablation properties in comparison with the analogous properties of conventional heat-shielding materials based on phenol formaldehyde and organosilicon resins are determined. It is shown that plastics based on heterocyclic polymers are unquestionably of interest as a basis for developing new heat-shielding materials.
