Inorganic Fibers for Composite Materials with Ceramic Matrix (Review)

  • FIBROUS COMPOSITE MATERIALS
  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Forms of inorganic fibers as reinforcing fillers for various types of composite materials are examined. Methods for the production of the fibers and their effect on the physicomechanical characteristics, phase composition, and the thermooxidative stability of the fibers are described. The prospects for the use of the fibers as reinforcing fillers for the composites are demonstrated. The work was realized within the scope of comprehensive scientific project 13.1 “Binders for polymeric and composite materials for constructional and specialized purposes.” (“Strategic directions in the development of materials and their processing technologies for the period up to 2030”) [1].
