The authors have retracted this article. After publication, they discovered that Fig. 4C contained images from separate work conducted by authors on miR-216 in a glioma cell line, which was published by the authors shortly after this paper (Zhang et al. 2017). The authors believe that this error undermines the conclusions reported in this study. All authors agree to this retraction.
