Abstract
Pains associated with cancer are multiple, with various physiopathological origins and imply various aetiologies. Individual detection and understanding of each of these pains is fundamental since they necessitate treatments that may differ. Pain related to the tumour process and its locoregional progression must be distinguished from the iatrogenic pain related to the diagnostic or therapeutic procedures and that occur less immediately, the sequellar pain related to the side effects of the treatments, which cause discomfort unrelated to the cancer itself.
