Treatment of Chronic Pain Conditions

Abstract

Majority of patients with cancer will experience pain at some point during the course of their disease. Pain can be primarily associated with the progression or regression of tumor or treatments like chemotherapy and radiation. Because of this dynamic course, the pain must be fully reassessed at every visit, and treatment plans need to be developed in conjunction with the treating oncology team with consideration of prognosis and cancer treatment options.
