Synthesis and characterization of dentate-shaped β -Ga2O3 nano/microbelts via a simple method

Abstract

Dentate-shaped β-Ga2O3 nano/microbelts were synthesized successfully via chemical vapor deposition without any other reaction or catalyzer material. The morphology and crystal structure were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analytic technologies, respectively. The growth mechanism of the products was discussed assisted by the SEM and TEM images. The photoluminescence properties of the β-Ga2O3 nano/microbelts have been investigated with a He–Cd laser (325 nm) at room temperature.
