Zusammenfassung

Die korrekte histopathologische Klassifikation eines gastralen mesenchymalen Tumors als Schwannom ist essenziell, da es sich hier im Gegensatz zum gastrointestinalen Stromatumor (GIST) um ein definitiv benignes Neoplasma handelt, das mit einer Entfernung im Gesunden suffizient behandelt ist. Eine (partielle) Gastrektomie ist nicht erforderlich. Radiologisch und sonographisch ist eine sichere Differenzialdiagnose zwischen Schwannom bzw. GIST nicht möglich [2, 3]. Die histomorphologischen und immunhistochemischen Charakteristika dieser Tumorentität werden beschrieben.

Abstract

The correct histopathological classification of a gastric mesenchymal tumor as a schwannoma is essential because in contrast to gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) it is a definitive benign neoplasm which can be sufficiently treated by in sano (R0) resection. A (partial) gastrectomy is unnecessary. A clear radiological or sonographical differentiation between a schwannoma and GIST is not possible. The histomorphological and immunohistochemical features of this tumor entity are described.
